STEINER’S and GERARD WAGNER’S INSIGHTS INTO COLOUR AND
PAINTING

Module 1 10 – 13 APRIL 2024
THEMES

– The three lustre colours as threefold organism revealed by Rudolf Steiner in the book COLOUR
– Creating balance in a painting as a reflection of balance in oneself
– An introduction to the all-important therapeutic principle of colour breathing

The 26-hour intensive module will consist of painting with plant-
based pigments; lectures and discussion around the therapeutic
questions of the role of colour and painting in healing.

Wednesday 10 April 8.30 am– 12.30pm 2.30 – 6.30pm
Thursday 11 April 8.30 am – 12.30 pm 2.30 – 6.30pm
Friday 12 April 8.30 am – 12.30 pm 2.30 – 6.30pm
Saturday 13 April 8.30 am – 12.30 pm  

Colour eurythmy: Wednesday 3.30 – 4.15pm &; Saturday 9 –9.30am
Medical lecture: Wednesday 9 to 10/10.30am

Cost: 320CHF (Materials included)

Certification: After each module a certificate of attendance is given.
Participants who have completed four modules receive a certificate
in artistic-therapeutic painting.

The modules include:Painting with plant-based pigments with Caroline Chanter, art therapist/painting teacher at the Rudolf Steiner Painting School. 

Medical Lectures with Dr.Siegward Elsas, physician /neurologist at the Klinik Arlesheim.

Colour eurythmy with Nicholas Grünewald, eurythmist /eurythmy teacher in Waldorf schools.

Plant colour making with Robert Wroblewski, painter /plant colour researcher at the Goetheanum Plant Colour Laboratory.

Module 2 (April 2025) – Rhythms of Nature 1, – sunrise-sunset

– Colour moods /soul moods as impulses for creation of picture motifs
– Plant-based pigments for enhancing the healing effects of colour
– Practical plant-colour-making

Module 3 (April 2026) – Rhythms of Nature 2 – plant life

– Image colours: growth – decay / blossoming – withering
– Trees and the elements of earth, water, air/light, warmth
– Practising the therapeutic attitude of inner participation

Module 4 (April 2027) – Rhythms of Nature 3, – moonrise-moonset

– Image colours – polarity of sun and moon as therapeutic principle
– The motif of Lucifer & Ahriman as artistic expression of the polarity of
sclerosis and inflammation
